Loftus Dolphins swimmer Hannah Trowsdale is one of only two North East swimmers to be chosen by Dudley College to take part in their Sporting Excellence Award Programme. This is a prestigious government funded performance programme, undertaken in conjunction with the National Governing Body, to provide a structured training and development route for talented young athletes. It is a 15 month nationwide programme designed to enhance the athletes ability to plan, apply and evaluate their development. In addition to workshops and progress review meetings with an assessor Hannah will get to participate in a week long training camp in Tenerife next year.
The award is open to talented athletes from all sports,
and previous aquatic stars who have undertaken it include Adam Peaty, Molly Renshaw and Tom Daley. Congratulation to Hannah from everyone at the club.
On Tuesday Hannah also learned that she has been selected for the England Phase 2 Talent Camp. this consists of 2 x 2 day residential camps focusing on all aspects of swimming and Strength and conditioning alongside workshops on subjects such as psychology, work life balance, nutrition etc. congratulations to Hannah on her selection.
